I got back from the dressmaker a little while ago. Afterwards, I explored Steinway Street (Astoria). Damn dude, that place is like Austin Street now. There's a Benetton, Gap, Victoria's Secret, NY & Co, Bath & Body Works, Starbucks. I bought 3 pairs of V-string underwear from Victoria's Secret for $1.50 each. I'm all trying to save money now yet I manage to buy even more. I also picked up some bargains at Bath & Body Works- some lotions and soaps for $1.99 or less.

Josh is busy playing "Seaman" now so he's not interested in what I'm doing. Seaman is one of the 15 Dreamcast games that I inherited when I bought Chris' Dreamcast system off of him for fifty bucks before he moved to London. Initially Josh was annoyed at me for buying it. It was a total gender reversal- usually the dude's the one who buys the game system. I figured we could have fun playing the games, then I'd sell it on Half.com and make a profit. Josh started playing Seaman three days ago and has been visiting the tank about 3-4 times a day. Seaman is this game where you can interact with this humanoid-frog animal by talking to it via a little mic attached to the game controller, feed it, poke it, etc. It's sort of interesting, I guess, but I'd rather play The Sims.

Right now, the Seaman is just a little "Gillman"- a fish with a human head that swims around the tank and talks in a kid's voice. Josh likes to tickle the Gillman and tries to get a rise out of it by telling it "I love you" and "You're ugly." Even Lenoard Nemoy, the game's narrator says: "How many times have you visited today? If one didn't know better one would think you were obsessed." For more info, go to MeetSeaman.com.

I've convinced Josh to let us go out tonight for dinner to Donovan's, a local Irish pub that has good burgers. Normal women would be thrilled to have their boyfriends cook such gourmet dinners for them, but usually the having to do the dishes afterwards part outweighs the delicious food part.

Jimmy Fallon was in my dream last night. I think he was trying to hump me. I also had to deal with a football field full of snakes that bit me even though I was slightly superhuman and was able to jump over a lot of them.

I had better clean up my desk area so I can think about starting on my glycerin soap project.

A la Amelie...
Danielle Tropea likes watching people look at their photos for the first time after they've picked them up.
She also likes:
hazelnut coffee with skim milk
clipping her fiance's fungal nail
wearing new knit tops before they've been washed

More later.

I am inspired to create a blog due to the creativity of my friend Scott aka NeuroticJew (neuroticjew.blogspot.com). I probably shouldn't tell my fiance about it because he wouldn't approve. (He rarely approves of such public displays, such as kissing or hugging in public or talking about sort of personal things on the subway.) I'm sure I'll tell him one of these days and he'll see this entry and get mad at me for saying what I just said. So here goes...
